American Standard Freedoom 80 furnace starts to run, then stops?

I have a 2 year old freedom 80 furnace. never had a problem until today. It starts to run for about 30 seconds. I hear burner start to ignite then shut off. LED is flashing on-off continuously at about the rate your cursor flashes on your computer, the manual says this is normal "cal for heat". Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cold in Woodstock!!!|||Sounds like classic flame sensor failure to me.

Could just be dirty (specially if you use propane), but this is in the realm of the more experienced DIYer.

It is also unlikely your hardware atore will have a replacement. Time to call someone.

P.S. It would be a good time for a full service and clean while the tech is there. A proper service would include checking the sensor for build-up anyway.|||There is a sensor on the blower itself which tells it when to turn on and off. That is also something to look at. If the furnace kicks on and ignites that tells you those sensors are working if it shuts off abruptly it is likely the sensor that goes to the blower. I tried to tell three furnace men that and the fourth finally listened to me and fixed it. I know what it is,just not where it is or how to fix it. That may not be your problem, but don't rule it out. Hope this helps for the future if not for now.|||It sounds like the flame sensor.
