Is an American Standard Telecaster good for modern radio three chord pop rock?

I know my band won't like the blues and the classic rock I'm addicted to. I need to play some crappy three chord modern rock before i can sneak in some blues.

Even though technically 12 bar blues is a kind of three chord music...|||Yes. Play what you want to play. If your band doesn't like your muisic. get a new band.|||In all honesty, Teles (especially the more expensive American Deluxe models) can handle any genre! Take country guitar virtuoso Brad Paisley's 2008 album PLAY...on that album alone, Paisley played jazz, country, rock, surf rock, blues and bluegrass and his main guitar is a Fender Tele (he also often uses Crook Custom Tele-style guitars, but Fender is what he mainly uses for electrics).

Anyway, Teles can really handle any genre. In fact, any guitar can basically be used for any genre--especially with a good amp!
