On red dead redemption where can I find bears and I need help catching the American standard bred?

Plz help me find bears to hunt and where can I catch American standard Breds and I need help with this plz answer?|||Bears are up north in the Tall Trees area. You get there after you complete all missions in Mexico. Try going to towns and taking the horse breaking jobs should get American Standard that way I do believe.|||Alright man, the bears are up in the northern part of the game. Mainly in the West Elizabeth area/Tall Trees. There is a river up there too, so if you walk along the path beside the river you are sure to encounter some :) As for the Standard Bred, idk. I haven't got it either.|||Bears are in tall trees. The american standard breed runs around wild in the great plains, just south of tall trees. I am sure they are other places but that's were I found the one I got.
