I recently got a new american standard humidifier, and there are no knobs, switches, or controls at all, just the knob to switch it from summer to winter. It's very similar to this one http://www.americanstandardair.com/HomeO鈥?/a>
Thanks in advance.|||Turning it to winter opens the damper which runs the air from the furnace through the humidifier. That's how you "turn it on". When you close the damper (summer), the air bypasses the humidifier. Is there a way to connect it to a humidistat? Too much moisture in the air in the winter will lead to condensation on your windows, possibly mold issues. Hope this helps.
