I'm American. When I think of an English accent, I think it sounds very sharp (in a good way). When I think of an Australian accent I think it sounds very rounded, if that makes sense. (I love both English and Australian accents, by the way) For standard American, I think it sounds very flat. I know this may sound weird. What does the STANDARD American accent sound like to you? Tell me what country you're from too, please.|||to me as a Spanish speaking man. I would say very tight tong.
I live in New York.|||A foreign accent to you, sounds like a normal accent to someone else.
It's the same for all languages and you'll never really understand how they all sound to one another because you're native language is only one language.|||don't ask me. I drink cawfee.
(me, from NYC, and my friends from Boston have the nerve to make fun of my accent. They say kah to say car. lol|||New york accents
Especially accents from people living in Long Island, Brooklyn, etc|||I know what you mean although I think the extreme southern accent and northern accents are pretty interesting to listen to.
God Bless the USA
