Is it possible to get the American standard of a general education schooling, but in Europe?

I really would like to study in europe my first 2 years of collage and my parents want me to get my general education out of the way. Is there any english speaking schools in europe that have the same credits and standard of general education schooling? Credits that would be recognizable in the US schooling system as well?|||there are lots of 'american' schools in europe... try typing 'european american schools' into google to find some. Be aware though... because I know they are fairly expensive to go to! =D
