Is American Standard a good A/C brand?

Has anyone recently installed an American Standard A/C system? Are you happy with it?|||In a simple concise word, yes. But contrary to popular consumer perspective, there's not a whole lot of difference in the quality of different brands. Just in the lights and bells that different models have. The higher the seer rating the more likely it may be a Puron system. If it's installed at the same time as a furnace that's over 90% efficient it may have a DC motor that will change speed variably (which actually gets a little more seer out of it) in relation to the sensed conditions of outside humidity, temp and demand. The reason I can say all this is like VCR manufactures, there's only so many. In this case they're in Mexico. And one company will make more than one brand. And you were wondering why Bryant and Carrier looked so similar?
